kaama vaada kapha lobha apaaraa / krodha pitta nita chaati jaaraa - "Lust is gout or rheumatism, cough is unending like greed and phlegmatic disease is like anger." According to Ayurvedic science, above three are main origin or causes for almost all other related diseases. kaama and krodha - lust and anger (lasts only for 3-5 mins) has time limit. But lobha has no limit, it is limitless.
SB 8.19.21 spoken by Lord Vamanadev to Bali Maharaj:
sri bhagavan uvaca
yaavanto vishayaa preshtas / trilokam ajitendriyah
na shaknuvanti te sarve / pratipurayitum nrpa
The Personality of Godhead said: "O my dear King, even the entirety of whatever there may be within the three worlds to satisfy one's senses cannot satisfy a person whose senses are uncontrolled."
